That's probably why Meta made Thai a top priority. That's a shame that in NLP, Thai is largely understudied. I'm reviewing a lot of papers for top tier conferences and Thai is tackled by almost none of them, probably due to the lack of large dataset in Thai. I hope this will change in the near future. Llama 3 supporting Thai will definitely help!
